PARK CITY, Kan. (KAKE) - The Kansas Highway Patrol says a 58-year-old Wichita woman driving the wrong way on I-135 was killed when her pickup truck collided with another.

The accident happened at around 6 a.m. Thursday on I-135 near 53rd Street North, which is just north of Wichita. According to the patrol's online crash log, Robin Buckman was driving north in the southbound lanes when her Ford Ranger collided with a Ford F-350. Buckman died at the scene.

Traffic cam video from KanDrive.org showed both vehicles overturned in the median.

Lt. Quinten Shoopman said the driver of the F-350, a 31-year-old Valley Center man, was treated by EMS. He was not transported to the hospital.

Northbound and southbound lanes of I-135 were closed as crews worked to clear the scene. Northbound lanes reopened at around 7:30 a.m. and southbound lanes remained closed until around 10 a.m.

The patrol is looking into whether fog played a role in the crash.

Friends of Buckman have set up a GoFundMe to help with funeral expenses, any donations would be welcome.
