Central Kansas man found dead
(Update) - Chase County Sheriff Richard Dorneker has confirmed with KAKE News that the body of Jason Hinton, who went missing on April 5th, was found on Saturday at approximately 10:30 a.m.
The body was discovered in the Cottonwood River near where his pickup was located near Cedar Point, Kansas.
An investigation is pending autopsy results.
There's concern for the health of a Kansas man who was reported missing last week. The family of Jason Hinton would appreciate your help with locating him after he was involved in a crash.
Jason, 44, went missing on Tuesday from Marion County. The Chase County Sheriff’s Office said Jason’s white Ford Ranger pickup truck was found wrecked and abandoned on private property in the small town of Cedar Point, Kan, which is located in neighboring Chase County, between Florence and Cottonwood. The accident is believed to have taken place around 7:30 p.m., near milepost 318 off Highway 50.
The sheriff’s office said, in a Facebook post, that “Damage to the truck was very minor, and no evidence of any injuries occurred.” Family said Jason is diabetic and depends on medications. They hope to find him safe.

CHASE COUNTY, Kan. (KAKE) - Jason Hinton, a man in his mid-forties from Marion County, is missing according to Chase County Sheriff's Office.
Hinton was driving a white Ford Ranger when he crashed on private property near milepost 318 off U50 near Cedar Point Kan. This incident occurred at 7:30 p.m. on April 5.
After the crash, Hinton walked off from his vehicle. Police say there was "no evidence of any injuries."
