WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) –Wichita police need your help in identifying two people involved in a drive-by shooting. It happened in February in north Wichita.

Ariana Corchado is no stranger to gun violence. As she walks home from school, she tells us it was one of her good friends who was gunned down at Towne East mall in a gang shooting a few weeks ago.

"It's honestly ridiculous," said Corchado. "The wrong people get a gun."

She says she's used to the drive-by shootings in her neighborhood.

"It's scary, "she said. "People aren't mindful of it. They don't care They just think about what needs to get done and do it."

This one hit close to home. Security video shows what police say is a gray or silver Chevy pickup truck pull up to this intersection and stop. Then you can see the flashes from the gun as police say two people opened fire. Within three minutes, the neighborhood was swarming with cops.

Police say it happened very early in the morning on February 19th at the corner of 25th and Jackson. They didn't find any damage, but they did find shell casings in the street.

"I know there is somebody out there with information on this case that will come forward and help us identify those people and hold them responsible," said Wichita Police Officer Trevor Macy.
