SEDGWICK COUNTY, Kan. (KAKE) - At around 8:24 p.m. on Friday, April 1, a car struck and killed a person crossing the road.

According to Kansas Highway Patrol, the car was heading south on I-35. It was at this time Domonic Andrew Gibson, who is from Kansas, entered the road and was struck and killed. 

The driver of the vehicle was Shereese Deiondra Brown of Missouri. There was one passenger in the car with Brown, Kelcy Martin of Illinois. While the driver of the car suffered "no apparent injuries," the passenger is believed to have suffered a minor injury.
