Spirit AeroSystems suspends January 4th vaccine deadline
Spirit AeroSystems is suspending it's January 4th vaccine mandate deadline. The company announced the move in a press release on Thursday.
"Based on a preliminary injunction preventing the federal government from enforcing the COVID-19 vaccine mandate for federal contractors and subcontractors, Spirit AeroSystems is suspending the Jan. 4, 2022 vaccine deadline. Lawsuits challenging the vaccine mandate for federal contractors and subcontractors will continue. As further decisions are made by courts, Spirit will comply with applicable vaccine requirement(s) for employees," the company said in a statement.
In the meantime the company is still encouraging employees to get vaccinated, or receive a booster shot as they become eligible.
