TURON, Kan. (KAKE) - A small town in Reno County was hit by a "tree topping" tornado Tuesday,  according to the National Weather Service.

A preliminary damage survey in Turon found a brief damage path from Tuesday night's storm.

The tornado is an EF0,  with estimated peak winds of 80 miles per hour.  The length of the path was 4/10ths of a mile and the maximum width was 275 yards.
