WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - Police have arrested one suspect and continue searching for another in the shooting death of a 42-year-old man at an east Wichita hotel.

Sedgwick County jail records show 35-year-old Shae Marie Roberts was booked Thursday evening for first-degree murder in commission of a felony and distribution of heroin/certain stimulants. Her bond was set at $500,000.

Wichita police said in a release last week that officers were search for 31-year-old Patricio Gomez in connection to the death of Michael Martinez on September 30. Gomez is considered armed and dangerous.

Officers responded last Thursday evening to a shooting at the Extended Stay America near Kellogg and Webb Road. They arrived to find Martinez who had been shot. He died at the scene.

Police spokesperson Charley Davidson said the investigation revealed Gomez and a woman arrived at the hotel for a drug transaction.

"During the transaction, a disturbance ensued and Gomez fired multiple shots at Martinez, striking him," last week's release said. "Gomez and the female fled the scene in a black Cadillac Escalade."

The Cadillac was located the next day outside of the Days Inn in Park City. A SWAT team and negotiators responded to the hotel, but but Gomez wasn't there.
