Sports Director

Like most kids, Sully loved sports from a very young age. His athletic career took him through rec league all the way through college baseball at Chico State in California, where he had a hand in sports journalism at the campus newspaper.

His first big break into broadcast news, Sully worked behind the scenes at KABC in Los Angeles, where he shot video, organized scripts for shows, and conducted interviews. From there, he ditched the board shorts for a cowboy hat and took up a reporter position in Cheyenne Wyoming.

Most recently, though, Sully joins the KAKE family from our sister station in Topeka, where he hit his mark as a Sports Anchor - reigniting his true passion for sports. Sully is excited to join KAKE and cover local and collegiate sports throughout the state. He loves how much the Midwest, particularly Kansas, supports local teams and comes out in full force for high school games.
