WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - Wichita police have arrested a 37-year-old man accused of causing a disturbance at a local grocery store over Chick-fil-A sauce.

Department spokesperson Charley Davidson said James Hirsh was booked for three counts of aggravated assault and one count of aggravated criminal threat. He was held without bond Friday afternoon, jail records show.

Officers responded shortly before 9 p.m. Wednesday to a disturbance at the Dillons at 31st Street South and Seneca. Private security and Dillons employees said Hirsh got into an argument with an employee regarding Chick-Fil-A sauce being on sale.

"Hirsh was asked to calm down or leave the store when he began throwing punches," Officer Davidson said. "Private security detained Hirsh until he calmed down."

Hirsh then allegedly threatened staff, got into his car and drove toward the entrance where staff were standing. He then left the area. No one was hurt.

Hirsh was booked into jail Thursday. The investigation is ongoing.
