WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - Wichita police have canceled their Silver Alert for a missing 74-year-old man, saying he has returned home safely.

Wichita police are asking for help in locating a 74-year-old man who has diabetes. 

Robert Whitfield was last seen at around 10:30 a.m. Monday leaving his home in the 1900 block of North Keith Ct., near 21st and Tyler. He was going over to his son's house but never arrived. 

Police spokesperson Trevor Macy said Whitfield's diabetes is not well controlled. 

Whitfield stands 5-foot-9 and weighs 150 pounds. He had gray hair that is thin on top and was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue polo shirt, blue shoes and a green jacked.

Whitfield was last known to be driving a red 2018 Ford pickup truck with Kansas tag 947AC.
