Wichita police officer arrested for alleged stalking
WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - A Wichita police officer has been booked on two counts of misdemeanor stalking.
The Wichita Police Department (WPD) said in a press release that officer Thomas Wallace was arrested Friday afternoon and was booked into the Sedgwick County Detention Facility.
The department learned Wallace was possibly stalking a woman he knew after an investigation by the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office began late last year involving another WPD employee.
Wallace has been with WPD for five years and was placed on administrative leave Friday, pending the outcome of the criminal and internal investigation.
