(KAKE) - Based in Salina, Jordan’s Helping Hand’s is a nonprofit organization that believes no child should go without.

“We specialize in providing assistance to low-income families of children as well as children of disabilities,” said Britney Campbell, the founder and CEO of Jordan’s Helping Hands.

From clothes to pots and pans, school supplies and backpacks, even Easter baskets and birthday cakes, they try to meet whatever need a struggling family is facing.

“Just taking away that stressor for a family, you know that maybe all these things are adding up and it’s just not in the budget this month. We feel like kids should still be able to experience these things that you get to do in your childhood, because you only get one childhood,” said Campbell.

And something they do really big is Christmas. This year, they’re seeing the need than ever.

“We believe that all kids should have a present under the tree. So, we include ages 0-17 and everything in between,” said Campbell.

You can help them by donating your time, money, gently used items, or even adopt a family to shop for at Christmas.

And if you’re in need of help, join their Facebook group to make a request.

KAKE News and the DeVaughn James Injury Lawyers are honored to present Jordan’s Helping Hands with a $500 check as this week’s “Wins for Kansas” recipient.

“Thank you KAKE, thank you DeVaughn James. This has been awesome. This is a great, awesome start to our Christmas joy project. We’ll be helping plenty of children with Christmas gifts, stocking stuffers, we’re going to be able to do a lot more because we have this right here. This helps a lot,” said Campbell.
