ATTICA, Kan. (KAKE) - Authorities have identified three people who died when two vehicles collided head-on in Harper County.

The crash happened just after 7 p.m. Thursday on U.S. 160 between Attica and Sharon. The Kansas Highway Patrol says an eastbound Hyundai Elantra went left of center and crashed into an oncoming Pontiac SUV. 

All three people involved in the accident were killed.

The patrol says 48-year-old Johnathon Goulding was driving the Hyundai and he had a 19-year-old passenger, Haylee Goulding. They were from Las Vegas. The woman driving the Pontiac was identified as 60-year-old Connie Randle of Medicine Lodge.

It's unclear what caused the Hyundai to cross into oncoming traffic.

Three people are dead following a head-on collision involving two vehicles in Harper County.

Kansas Highway Patrol Trooper Chad Crittenden tweeted on Thursday night that the collision happened on U-160 mile marker 243 between Attica and Sharon.

The highway is closed and being diverted by the Kansas Department of Transportation.
