(KAKE)- The Care More Foundation is building hope, one package at a time.

“We deliver care packages to pediatric cancer patients that are going through chemo and getting done with surgeries,” said founder, Audrey Stanton.

Audrey Stanton started her organization in memory or her two best friends who passed away from cancer when they were all in middle school.

Now at 17 years old, she’s making sure other kids in the hospital know they are loved and cared for.

“It just provides them a sense of comfort and just knowing that other people are there for them and just showing them that everyone cares,” said Stanton.

She’s collecting fuzzy socks, self-care items, coloring books, and other things kids and teens can use to make their hospital stay a little more comfortable.

KAKE News and the DeVaughn James Injury Lawyers are honored to present the Care More Foundation with a $500 check as this week’s, “Wins for Kansas” recipient.

“Thank you to KAKE News and DeVaughn James for the $500 for our cancer care packages,” said Stanton.
