Police arrest 4th person in Wichita homicide case
WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - Wichita police say they've arrested a fourth suspect in connection with a man whose body was found in a car in July.
Sedgwick County jail record show 33-year-old Lawrence Bailey was booked early Thursday afternoon for first-degree murder, two counts of aggravated kidnapping, two counts of kidnapping in flight on commission of a crime, aggravated robbery, robbery, aggravated burglary, attempted aggravated battery and criminal possession of a firearm.
Roy Haden's body was found in a vehicle on the 1500 block of North Broadway. Court documents say Haden died sometime between July 1 and July 6.
Police previously arrested 35-year-old Matthew Small and 20-year-old Ariana Cook for first degree murder. Carlos Delgado, 19, was arrested for aggravated kidnapping and aggravated battery in the case.
Police said the homicide was drug related.
Kansas Department of Corrections records show Bailey is on parole for an aggravated burglary conviction in 2014. He also has priors of theft, aggravated assault and criminal threat.
Bailey was last released from prison on June 23 and was listed as an absconder as of July 7.
