VIOLA, Kan. (KAKE) - An online fundraiser for the family of a mother and four children who died in a crash has raised nearly $60,000 as of Monday morning.

Emergency crews responded at around 5 p.m. Friday to a crash at 71st and 263rd streets near Viola in southwest Sedgwick County. 

The Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office says 32-year-old Jessica Noel, 10-year-old Anaiah Brady, 4-year-old Jeffrey Thompson III and 4-month-old Hank Thompson died in the crash. One-year-old Mack Thompson later died at the hospital.

According to a GoFundMe, a grain truck ran a stop sign and collided with the SUV carrying the five victims.

An accident near Viola killed three children and one adult on Friday evening, another child is in the hospital with critical injuries.

The accident happened around 5 p.m. Friday at W 71st Street South and 263rd Street West.  

Captain Brad Hoch with the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office said a family was traveling southbound in an SUV on 263rd St. when it collided into a grain truck traveling eastbound on 71st St.

Five people were in the SUV, with three children, the oldest in grade school.

The driver of the grain truck was not seriously hurt and has been taken to the investigation center to be interviewed.

Officials are in the process of notifying family members.

It's unknown yet what led up to the crash, but the sheriff's office continues their investigation.
