ARDMORE, Okla. (KOCO/KAKE) - An Oklahoma nightclub said it will stop offering viewing of some sports games amid players' protests during the national anthem.

ABC affiliate KOCO reports the Starlite Club posted a notice on its Facebook page, telling customers while they respect everyone's right to protest for what they believe in, it does not believe the national anthem should be used for such purposes.

The notice goes on to say, “Due to disrespect shown towards our great country and the men and women that have sacrificed so much to defend and protect it, we have made the following rules. This establishment will no longer offer the viewing of any NFL, NBA, WNBA, MLB, NHL, NASCAR, soccer or any other related broadcast where players do not stand for and respect the national anthem.”
