Suspect makes first court appearance in connection to a body found in north Wichita
Matthew Small, 35, is accused of murdering a man whose body was found in a vehicle in north Wichita in July.
WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - Prosecutors formally charged 35-year-old Matthew Small in connection to the homicide of a Wichita man in July.
On July 7 officers found the body of Roy Hayden in a vehicle on the 1500 block of North Broadway. Court documents say Hayden died sometime between July 1 and July 6.
Small faces multiple charges, including first-degree murder, aggravated kidnapping and three counts of criminal possession of a weapon by a felon.
His bond is set at $250,000 and his next court appearance is Sept. 17.
