Police say a 19-year-old Wichita resident was killed in a shooting overnight in east Wichita.

Officers were called just before 1 a.m. to the 600 block of N. Pinecrest. They found Andreas Carlyle laying in the street with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the shooting was not a random incident, and investigators are working to uncover what led up to it.
