WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - A Snapchat video of a man shooting at police officers near 21st and Arkansas is quickly circulating, and police are asking for your help to identify him.

"There were a lot of people around there, and we think that someone saw and knows who this is," said Todd Johnson, President of the Wichita Metro Crime Commission.

It happened early Tuesday morning when protests in the area became violent. Something people like Naomi, who live nearby, are sick and tired of seeing.

"When I saw the video of the shooting... I honestly don't even think it was somebody who was there to protest or, you know, to get a message through," said Naomi.

She said the majority of the protesters are trying to get the message across the right way, and with the whole country's eyes and ears open, it's no time for violence.

"I have a four-year-old and a two-year-old… And I feel like, not just personally, but I feel like a lot of people are worried and scared to go out. To have their kids outside and play. Just because you don't know what's going to happen," said Naomi.

Police say for any information you provide that leads to the shooter's arrest, you can also be eligible for a reward up to $2,500. The Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line is 316-267-2111.
