Police say a 19-year-old woman has died after crashing her car into a cattle truck in Goddard last week.

The Goddard Police Department confirmed Monday that Madisen Carr died from injuries sustained in last Wednesday's accident at U.S. 54 at 215th Street West. Police say Carr's vehicle crossed in front of a cattle truck that was heading west on 54. 

The Kansas Highway Patrol said Carr failed to yield to the semi. The truck driver was not hurt.

One person suffered critical injuries when their car crashed into a cattle truck in Goddard on Wednesday. 

It happened at around 12:15 p.m. on U.S. 54 at 215th Street West. Police say a car crossed in front of a cattle truck that was heading west on 54. The driver of the car was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. 

Authorities are working to determine if the driver, who has not been identified, ran the stop sign on 215th Street or failed to yield to highway traffic and didn't notice the truck.
