Many life lessons can be learned playing organized sports and the Tri-County League offers the same opportunity for special needs athletes.

The league operates in the Wichita, Sumner, and Butler County school districts. Athletes in Sedgwick County can also play soccer, and cheer. Volunteer and board member Jason Crippen said the purpose of the organization offers more to its students than just feeling included.

"It helps them with their focus, they listening following directions because that's a job skill they're going to need in the future," said Crippen.

That's why the Tri-County is this week's winner for Wins For Kansas.
