A special delivery of history arrived at the Kansas Cosmosphere Monday.

Kansas Cosmosphere workers will restore NASA's Johnson Space Center mission control center.  The massive utilitarian green machines once helped operators to successfully launch and guide numerous missions to the moon.  The machines will be taken apart, cleaned, painted and restored in time for the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing.  "Spaceworks has been involved in a lot of significant projects such as Appolo 13, Liberty Bell 7, and this ranks right up there with them," said Cosmosphere CEO Jim Remar.

The project is expected to be complete before July.
