TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A business partner of a murdered Topeka developer is being held on a half-million dollars bond and a criminal complaint reveals details of the alleged incident that led to his arrest.

Monroe Lockhart made his first appearance in Shawnee County District Court Friday. Topeka Police arrested him Thursday on charges of aggravated burglary, aggravated intimidation of a witness, aggravated battery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, criminal threat and criminal restraint.

A criminal complaint reveals the charges stem from November 10, 2011. Prosecutors say Lockhart entered a home in a trailer court at SE 19th and Adams, assaulted a woman with a knife "in a manner where great bodily harm, disfigurement or death could have been inflicted" and threatened to a man who was also there that he "would blow your head off."

The complaint goes on to allege that Lockhart further threatened the couple if they reported the incident to authorities.

Authorities have said the charges are not related to the death of 39-year old Corey Brown.

Brown was a developer of the Hudson Crossing Shopping Center at SE 15th and Adams, where Mo's Express Convenience Store is located. Lockhart was managing partner of the store.

Brown's body was found January 5th in rural Douglas County, just east of the Shawnee County line.
