Topeka (WIBW) - Soon there won't be a bad seat in the house at the Kansas Expocentre.

Shawnee County Commissioners Thursday approved the purchase of brand new video screens and marquees as well as new studio equipment and cameras. Installation is expected to begin next week, with hopes to have everything done by hockey season.

Expocentre General Manager H.R. Cook says the goal is to make attending an event at the Expocentre, no matter what it is, an improved experience.

The Expocentre expects to pay for the new equipment through a new fee for using it.
