Topeka (WIBW) - America welcomed its newest citizens in a celebration in Topeka Friday.

Sixty-two people pledged their allegiance to the United States in a naturalization ceremony at the Carlson Federal Building.

The new citizens come to America from 31 different nations, including Cuba, Russia, Germany, China, Mexico, Canada and North Korea. They represent a wide range of occupations, everything from housewives to professors.

U.S. District Judge Sam Crow and attorney L.J. Leatherman were among those congratulating the group.

i got a question for those here these new citizens. how much did the united states stick for all the legal paper and all. are we talking 5,000 10,000 20,000 dollars or more. they didn/t just come on in for free and how come you never see very many mexicans. because i know for a fact there are hundreds everyday spending money at the border for legal paper work. have seen it with my own two eyes the line of people starting at 5 am the line forms. with people most of them with 500 dollars in hand to pay u.s immigration for legal paper work. thats not being done and thats not being honest with them. and u.s immigration tell them to come back and try again. u.s immigration playing them for a joke that is not a bit funny not at all. there wasting 500 dollars for the come back again game. and those that know this is going on down there at the border. then to see this going on here you must think we are fools too. my question still stands how much did they get stuck for on all legal work!!!!!!
