Topeka (WIBW) - It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the Governor's mansion!

The gates were opened Friday to welcome a horse-drawn wagon carrying a traditional Christmas tree to the front steps of Cedar Crest.

Gov. Mark Parkinson and his wife Stacy were on hand for the delivery.

The nine-foot tall Scotch Pine was cut just hours earlier from Pine Lake Christmas Tree Farm in Derby.

Once it was put in place in the living room, the Governor declared the tree perfect.
