A challenge from the Kansas Secretary of Agriculture may help you eat healthier.
Adrian Polansky wants Kansans to eat more locally produced food.
Polansky says the best place to get them is your local farmers' market.
He says the crops are all grown by area farmers and picked just hours before they go on sale.
Shopping at a farmers' market also helps the local economy. Polansky says the vendors invest the money back into the community.
Topeka holds a Farmers' Market every Wednesday on the south side of the Statehouse grounds. Another Farmers' Market takes place Saturday mornings in the Judicial Center Parking Lot.
