A man is in jail after a short police chase early Wednesday morning.

It happened in the 3400 block of Oakley at about 2:45am.

Authorities say it all started when 19-year-old Dustin Robinson asked a man for a ride to Wal-Mart.

Robinson then threatened to harm the man and stole his car.

According to authorities officers spotted the car a few minutes later around 37th and Kirklawn, and chased Robinson to 37th and South Park where he lost control of the vehicle and went off the road.

Robinson was booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on felony charges related to the incident. No injuries were reported.
