TOPEKA, Kan. - An altercation among possible gang members threatened violence Thursday.

Two groups were arguing in front of the SRS building, 1114 N. Topeka, Thursday afternoon when people inside called police.

Authorities took a black, male juvenile into custody after finding a gun in one of the vehicles.

Witnesses say people in the altercation were yelling that there would be a murder Thursday night.

Our Srs and affiliated sources need to be investagated.Due to now the gangs getting involved and they are known to not play by the rules.However, Srs has let these kind get away with alot so, Who's at fault?Like Srs States too, to many parents we DON'T CARE.And us parents DO CARE.HOPE WE KIND A SOLUTION BEFORE IT GETS WAY OUT OF CONTROL. OUR system is broke.We got alot of great minds in our system lets use them and wing out the ones that don't care.

The SRS need to start a program like the police department does for christmas. Instead of guns for toys how about guns for fried chicken.

i hope u werent making fun of people who get assistance from srs because i just got divorced and need assistance from srs such as daycare bc i do work, medical for my kids bc medical through my job for family is very expensive, and for cash to help me with bills in the house. I hate getting assistance but i have no choice right now but at least I do work..now yes some people are just lazy and take advantage of the system

i agree someone is going to get hurt or harmed due to the gangs and how they rule our SRS and that is sad.

I work at the SRS office, someday someone is going to get seriously hurt or killed. If we could have the security like the courthouse has in place, I think that we would feel a little more secure.

HELLO CLIFF, YOU GET IT ON A CARD. IT HITS YOUR CARD ONCE A MONTH ON THE SAME DAY. WHY THEY WERE AT THE SRS BULDING WELL IT IS IN CENTRAL TOPEKA AND VERY CLOSE TO THE HOOD.

If they shoot and kill one another it would be a good thing. But they can't aim worth a rat so stadbyders might get hurt.

Maybe the srs shouldnt schedule handing out the food stamps and welfare all on one day, lets have several days, one day for each gang so they wont have to argue so much.
