HOLTON, Kan. - Locks of Love is getting a double dose of charity from one northeast Kansas family.

Twin sisters Elicia and Lauren Johnston, 12, visited the Head 2 Toe Salon in Holton Thursday to get their long, red hair chopped off above the shoulders.

Both girls are in seventh grade at Holton Middle School, but live in Denison.

They'll send their cut-off ponytails to Locks of Love to be made into hair pieces for children who suffer from long-term medical hair loss.
