Garden City Woman Killed in I-70 Accident Save Email Print

A Garden City woman was killed Thursday night on I-70 after losing control of her car near Paxico during a heavy rainstorm.

Pamela Esslinger was headed east along the Interstate around eight o'clock when she lost control of her 2003 Pontiac Bonneville. The car spun through the median and westbound lanes and hit a line of trees on the north side of the Interstate, according to police reports.

The fifty-eight year-old woman died at the scene.

Her passenger, 52 year-old Billye Roth, also from Garden City, was hurt in the accident. and had to be taken to Stormont-Vail for treatment.

Both women were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
