Megan Ensley, the current Miss Capital City, has arrived in Pratt, Kansas, to compete in the Miss Kansas Pageant this week.

Megan will compete in preliminary competitions Thursday and Friday. Final competitions will be held 8:00 P.M., Saturday, June 7, in the Lesh Sports Arena on the campus of Pratt Community College.

Megan, the daughter of Ted and Pam Ensley, is a native of Topeka, Kansas. She was awarded the title of Miss Capital City in October 2007.

While serving as Miss Capital City, Megan has developed a platform to register more college voters and increase the 18-24 year-old-voter turnout.

Working with the national “Rock the Vote” campaign and speaking engagements at Topeka middle schools have also been part of Megan’s spring schedule. She has worked on the campaigns of Governor Kathleen Sebelius and Congresswoman Nancy Boyda.

Megan, who graduated from Topeka High in 2005, will be a senior at Wichita State University this coming fall majoring in communication.
