Some folks got a close look at objects in space Wednesday night.

Lazio's Coffee Bar, 2111 SW Belle, in Topeka hosted a lunar observing session.

Astronomers were on hand with telescopes set out on the sidewalk for people to look at the moon. Organizer Brenda Culberson said a glimpse of Saturn, double stars and clusters was also possible. She says the astronomers set up shop as a way to help others gain appreciation for astronomy.
