Expert Tire Robbed, Suspect Fires Shot Save Email Print

Topeka Police are searching for a man who robbed a tire store then shot at a witness.

Police say the robbery happened at Expert Tire at SW 21st and Wanamaker just after 5 pm Wednesday.

They say a black man about six-feet tall, weighing 145 pounds, robbed the store. They say an employee chased after him, even trying to scale a fence to keep up. Police say that's when the suspect turned and fired a shot. The bullet missed the worker.

Police say the suspect jumped into a waiting car that is white or light colored and an out of state tag, 617 PYY.
