Out of all the school districts across the state of Kansas, nine have been recognized for their good character and community service.

One of those schools is in northeast Kansas.

USD 501 officials were on hand today as Robinson Middle School was given the Kansas School of Character award.

State Attorney General Steve Six helped present the awards to recognize all nine schools today.

These schools are awarded for their community relationship with families and community members, and for challenging academic curriculum.
