If you have to drive to Kansas City you could run into some rough conditions.
A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for the counties lining the Kansas/Missouri border through Thursday morning.
This advisory does include Kansas City. A light band of snow will be moving throughCentral/Eastern Kansas Wednesday afternoon and will continue pushing East into Missouri Wednesday night.
Snow could briefly accumulate up to one inch. With wind gusts over 40mph, travel may be difficult. Blowing snow will be common, as winds will likely continue gusting over 40mph through the overnight hours. Temperatures are currently above freezing so light ice might develop on elevated surfaces before temperatures area wide willfall below freezing. Use caution when driving Wednesday night and early Thursday morning.
