Snow Will End Across Southern Kansas This Evening

A winter weather advisory has been posted for Chautauqua, Sumner, and Cowley county until 9 pm Tuesday. Snow will continue to diminish in intensity and move out of the state Tuesday night. Wichita will not see any snow with this system.

The heaviest snow fell across southern Kansas.

Meade: Estimated 3”
Wellington: Estimated 3”
Coldwater: Estimated 2.5”
Hardtner: Measured 2"
Liberal: Measured 2"
Sedan: Estimated 1"
Winfield: Estimated 0.5"
Anthony: Estimated 0.1"
Howard: Estimated 0.1"

The snow being reported is a wet slushy snow that will likely melt in the next few days.
