A winter weather system that hit the windy city is affecting flights at Wichita’s Mid-Continent Airport.
At least three Wichita flights were canceled as the blast hit Chicago. They are among 400 O’Hare flights that have been affected due to the snow storm.
Airline United Continental has allowed passengers traveling through Chicago to reschedule their flights without penalties.
The first winter blast of the season is expected to dump more than 8 inches of snow on Chicago Thursday. But windy conditions could also reduce visibility, making traveling treacherous.
