WICHITA, Kan, - Storms that developed in northern Kansas Sunday afternoon wound up spreading across the entire state overnight -- including Wichita.

Lightning and high winds led to a Severe Thunderstorm Warning in part of Sedgwick and Reno Counties early Monday. One KAKE News viewer tells us storm sirens went off in Hutchinson.

That followed warnings across northern Kansas during the evening. A different KAKE News viewer reported a tree branch fell on her deck and grill in Concordia, leaving them damaged. But we have no word of any injuries from the storm.

The storm also may have forced a United airlines flight to divert to Wichita, when it was supposed to land in Oklahoma City. A back-up plane was sent to pick up the passengers.

Parts of Dickinson and Ottawa Counties lost power during the storm. People in Newton reported seeing a lightning show which lasted at least 45 minutes, but without any rain falling. And in northwest Kansas, a spotter in the Agra area reported hail as large as softballs.
