Much needed moisture continues to move through KAKEland Tuesday night and is expected off and on throughout the day Wednesday and Thursday as well.

A slow moving low-pressure system will continue to move towards Kansas Tuesday night. Widespread light rainfall can be expected to continue overnight Tuesday into Wednesday, ending by Thursday afternoon. The rain is expected to be light in intensity with up to 1” of additional rain possible by Thursday afternoon. Thunderstorms will become possible Wednesday afternoon. No severe weather is expected at this time.

Flood watches/warnings have been issued for southeast Kansas into Missouri, Oklahoma, and Arkansas as low-lying areas might become flooded.

By Thursday night, the system will push to the northeast away from Kansas, leaving us drier and warmer weather as we head into the weekend.
