A tornado that caused damage near Rozel, Kansas Saturday has been rated an EF-4.
The tornado touched down six miles southwest of Rozel after 7:00 p.m.
It damaged five farms, including one that lost most of it's roof and exterior walls.
The National Weather Service in Dodge City said the EF-4 rating is based on measured winds of 165 to 185 mph by a Doppler On Wheels unit. The maximum damage path width was 1100 yards.
