Most of Kansas has been hit with a major cooldown, just two days after temperatures in Wichita hit 90 degrees and broke records.

Wichita could see a frost tonight, with the northwestern half of the state expecting a hard freeze. The Wichita area will expect a hard freeze on Friday night.

Temperatures in the Wichita area will be around 48 when high school football games kick off at 7:00 tonight.

The morning high in Wichita was 71.

The afternoon high is forecast at 54.
