Kansas Braces For Two Rounds Of Storms

Two rounds of stormy weather are on the way to KAKEland.

The first round is expected to hit after midnight in Central Kansas. KAKEland Managing Meteorologist Jay Prater said some thunderstorms could contain hail one inch or larger. Western Kansas will receive rain.

A second storm system is expected to develop in Kansas Wednesday afternoon. Prater said storms that develop could carry large hail. There is a slight threat of tornadoes in Southeast Kansas. Heavy rain is also possible. Some areas could see more than an inch of rain.

Prater is monitoring the conditions.
