Two homes in the central part of Augusta have been damaged after being struck by lightning around 6am this morning, according to Butler County Emergency Management.
The homes are reportedly located within a block of each other. Emergency Management reports one home sustained moderate fire damage, while the other suffered minor damage.
A line of storms developed overnight and moved through Sedgwick and Butler counties.
