The National Weather Service says the tornado that leveled a couple of subdivisions in southeastern Michigan had estimated winds around 135 mph.
A sheriff's spokesman says 105 homes were significantly damaged in Dexter and the surrounding area, and 13 were destroyed. There were fires power outages and flooding but no apparent injuries.
Damage assessment continues and survey teams from the weather service planned to be in Washtenaw, Monroe and Lapeer counties today to determine if there were other twisters.
