Our spring weather has been replaced by a blast of winter.

North Central and Northwest Kansas are feeling the worst of the winter storm. A winter weather advisory is in effect for the northern half of Kansas. A winter storm warning is in effect for a few counties in NW Kansas.

The National Weather Service reports Goodland received 9.2 inches of snow.

Snow will continue to move across the state this morning. KAKE meteorologist Ben Pringle said Wichita will stay above freezing and miss the snow. Gusty northerly winds will have wind chills dropping to the teens and 20s.

Road are snowpacked in northern Kansas, including I-70. Slushy conditions are reported in SW Kansas.

Tuesday's high will be in the low 40s.
