A tropical depression has formed in the eastern Atlantic, but doesn't pose any threat to land.
The National Hurricane Center in Miami said the eighth tropical depression of the season formed Friday afternoon. It had maximum sustained winds of 35 mph and could soon become a tropical storm.
But forecasters say it is supposed to weaken after that.
The system is about 505 miles west of the Cape Verde Islands. It is moving toward the northwest near 14 mph.

Overnight: Mostly clear with an overnight low of 10°. Wind chill as cold as -3°.
Wind: Northeast, becoming east 2 to 8mph
Wind: East 5 to 15mph Sunday Afternoon: Partly sunny and breezy with highs around 34°. Wind chill as cold as 21°. Wind: East, becoming southeast 10 to 20mph, and gusty Sunday Night: Mostly cloudy and breezy with snow likely and an overnight low of 26°. 0 to 1” of snow accumulation possible. Wind: Southeast 10 to 20mph
