Forecasters say it's too soon to tell if strengthening Hurricane Bill will threaten the East Coast.
Bill is gaining steam in the Atlantic and is expected to become a major hurricane over the next couple of days with winds topping 110 miles an hour. It's expected to near Bermuda by the end of the week.
Bill will likely steer clear of Florida which is awash in the remnants of what used to be Tropical Storm Claudette. The storm quickly weakened after making landfall this morning, spreading heavy rain across the Florida Panhandle and Alabama.
Forecasters are also keeping an eye on disorganized Tropical Depression Ana, which could bring heavy rains to poverty-stricken Haiti.
No damage was reported after Ana swept over the Leeward Islands. In Puerto Rico, rain from Ana flooded highways in the capital.
