The spring blizzard is being blamed for the collapse of a Wichita radio station's tower.

In a news release, the Journal Broadcast Group said the tower of KYQQ-FM 106.5 collapsed on Saturday.

The release said the initial examination of the site north of Winfield revealed heavy icing on the structure. No other damage or injuries have been reported.

The station's broadcast signal has been restored on an auxiliary site.
